Douglas-fir Vertical grain (VG) boards generated as a result of slicing veneer from cants.

- All vertical grain (VG)
- Most boards are clear, but some will have pitch pockets and/or small knots on the edge of the board.
- Most (95%) will be fine to very fine grain, but they are starting to slice a wider grain product so there will be the occasionally wider grain board.
- All boards are dried to 8-10% moisture content.
- After drying, most boards are a scant 3/4" and as S2S (sanded two sides) to 5/8”.
- Boards are tallied on a one-inch count.
- Boards are packaged by length. 82 ½” is tallied as 7’ and everything else (98 ½ -104”) is tallied at 8’.
- Units are packaged random width (RW) with narrowest board 6” and widest up to 14”.
- There are small units of “shorts” available. Lengths are anywhere from 25-75”, same grade, same everything, but price is “a bit less.”
- Hemlock backer boards are also available but in much less volume.
- Prefer to sell full units, FOB BCV (Surrey, British Columbia) or local kiln.
- Price is $1700/MBF USD FOB, Surrey, BC. Important note: There is no import duty on this product.
- All orders are subject to fiber (wood supply and veneer orders)
